Amy Schumer is opening up about “the hardest week of [her] life”.
Though the comedian hosted Saturday Night Live at the weekend, she revealed on Instagram: “I missed Thursday rehearsals when my son was rushed to ER and admitted for RSV.”
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) “causes infections of the lungs and respiratory tract”, according to Mayo Clinic and is common in children, with most getting infected with the virus by age 2.
“Shout out to all the parents going through this right now,” Schumer added in her post.
The comedian said she got to be with her son, Gene, 3, who she shares with husband, Chris Fischer, all day and that the SNL cast and crew were very supportive.
“My son is home and better,” she updated.
