On Monday, radio personality Anele Mdoda cleared up confusion after posting an Instagram photo wearing a moon boot, saying: “I am fine but I was a little sad, shame.”
Speaking about the incident on Anele and the Club on 947, Anele explained that she was struck by a car in the pick-up area of a Johannesburg airport on Saturday.
“The next thing, I feel the biggest pressure forcing me to the ground. It is the most bizarre feeling, so I think ‘Oh, I’m getting mugged’. So I turn to grab whoever is mugging me,” she explained, adding: “I cannot tell you how insane this pressure is.”
“Then I’m on the floor, and I’m like, what is going on… The next thing I feel, my right foot is just stuck. My right foot is just stuck. I’m trying to move it. I’m trying to move it, but it’s stuck.
“Now I can’t move my entire body, but there’s something on top of me. Guys, did I not get hit by a car,” she continued.
Anele explained that she was able to free herself by maneuvering her foot out of her shoe. “I was in disbelief,” she said.
Paramedics were called to the scene and a doctor determined that Anele did not sustain serious injuries. “The biggest bruise is the skin scrape,” she said.
