Fancy beating the Black Friday rush? It might be worth a trip to Argos with the retailer launching some early deals ahead of the main shopping event. If you weren’t already aware, Black Friday takes place on the last Friday of November and usually offers huge savings across products such as TVs, smartphones, speakers and more. Although things don’t officially start until November 25, many stores have started launching early sales in a bid to give consumers more time to shop and Argos is one of the first to begin slashing prices.

The store’s pre-Black Friday bonanza is now live with gadgets including headphones, speakers and vacuums all getting a discount.

However, those wanting a new TV are getting some of the best offers with Argos not only reducing things to their lowest ever price but also dishing out £250 gift cards on some screens as well.

For example, you can currently get a 50-inch Samsung Smart 4K UHD HDR QLED TV for just £699 with Argos then throwing in a £75 gift card. Take delivery of the Samsung 65 Smart 4K UHD HDR OLED TV and you’ll find a £250 gift card handed over.

There’s a whole swathe of discounts which can all be found here but Express.co.uk has picked 10 of the best below.

It’s not just Argos that slashed prices ahead of Black Friday. Currys has also launched an early sale with deals including money-off Dyson vacuums, Samsung TVs and Android phones. You can check out all the best Currys Black Friday deals here.

What is Black Friday

Black Friday was started in the United States as a way for retailers to drum-up extra sales ahead of the holidays. The one-day sales event would see millions of people queue up outside high street shops to secure the best Black Friday deals, dubbed “doorbusters”. Held on the first Friday after the Thanksgiving celebrations, Black Friday is no longer confined to the shores of the United States – it has become a global phenomenon.

When is Black Friday 2022?

Black Friday will be held on November 25, 2022.

Black Friday falls on a different day each year, since it always falls on the first Friday after the Thanksgiving celebrations have taken place in the United States.

With Black Friday scheduled for Friday November 25, you can expect Cyber Monday sales to start on November 28, 2022.
