When is Black Friday 2021?
Black Friday this year falls on Friday 26 November 2021, however, as always, retailers will be more eager than ever to launch their Black Friday deals and we expect preview deals could start as early as mid-September.
It’s been said Black Friday will be very different this year due to logistics issues across every sector, with problems such as imports from areas like South East Asia affecting the supply chain – so it may be worth planning ahead and checking our pages for early deals to avoid disappointment.
Is Black Friday the best time to buy a mattress?
Because online mattress sellers are so competitive, you can find a pretty hefty discount on mattresses all year round.
For instance, Simba regularly offers between 25% and 35% off its mattresses, and Emma occasionally offers up to 40% off too.
But Black Friday is pretty much guaranteed to have a discount on whatever brand of mattress you favour, including more affordable brands such as Nectar and Dreams.
That means, in terms of discount selection, Black Friday probably is the best time of year to buy a new mattress.
What is Cyber Monday and when is it?
Cyber Monday is well known as being an extension of the Black Friday sales period, and this year it falls on 29 November 2021.
The huge sale bonanza is a chance for shoppers to pick up hugely discounted deals across all categories, ranging from electrical appliances and technology to fashion and beauty.
Generally, most major retailers like Amazon, Currys PC World and Argos will run discounts from Black Friday right through to Cyber Monday, and sometimes for even longer.
What were the best Black Friday mattress deals last year?
Given the year we had in 2020, we were all looking for ways to get a better night’s sleep and last year’s Black Friday bonanza certainly delivered.
We saw huge discounts across popular mattress brand, Emma, who offered an impressive 35 per cent off with a Black Friday code meaning the Emma Original was reduced to £343.85, usually £699 – however we’ve spotted an even better deal on now with a whopping 40% off the mattress, making it from £269.40.
Simba was another brand offering 35 per cent off all its products over £200. One of the best deals we saw from the day included the award-winning Simba hybrid pro mattress reduced down to £798.85 from £1,229.
M&S also impressed us with a huge £279 saving on its orthopaedic pocket-sprung mattress – usually £699. The price also included a 10-year guarantee too, so you could sleep easy with this one.
DreamCloud’s 2020 Black Friday sale, saw them gift £300 off every mattress with free home delivery and a generous 365 night trial.
We’re hoping to see the brand offer similarly generous deals again this year.
Where to buy a mattress on Black Friday
Popular brands from the likes of Simba, Emma, Eve Sleep, Nectar and many more are very likely to have huge Black Friday sales.
