The 16th annual BET Hip Hop Awards aired on Tuesday night in the US (Wednesday morning in SA), honouring the best in hip hop.
Big winners on the night included Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion for their collab WAP. The song, which raised a few eyebrows after its release in 2020, took home the trophies for Song of the Year, Best Hip Hop Video and Best Collaboration.
Artist of the Year went to Lil Baby, while Saweetie took home the prize for Hustler of the Year and Yung Bleu was awarded Best New Artist.
Nelly, who also performed a medley of his greatest hits, was honoured with the I Am Hip Hop award.
Other performers included Young Thug, Lil Jon and Baby Keem.
