The majority of households have a fan for the odd summer heatwave Britain experiences and Ariela suggested using this: ”If you’ve an electric fan, put that on cold and point at the airer, leaving a window beyond ajar very slightly.”
If dehumidifiers are out of your budget and you don’t have a fan, consider purchasing a heated airer.
“If you’re worried about the cost of turning on the tumble dryer this winter – or don’t have one and are dreading the return of trying to dry wet clothes and bedding over the radiator – then a heated clothes airer could be an affordable and energy-efficient alternative,” Amy Lockwood, Ideal Home expert said.
“Compared to a normal clothes airer, the heated elements will cut down drying time considerably, allowing you to dry clothes overnight, or in just a couple of hours depending on the volume of wet washing you’re tackling.”
