- Drake disses Alexis Ohanian and Megan Thee Stallion on the album, contributing to his trending online. See what the stars had to say in response.
You would’ve seen Drake trending all weekend following the release of his collaborative album with 21 Savage, Her Loss.
You know who may be less of a fan of the rapper and his new music, though? Alexis Ohanian and one Megan Thee Stallion.
On the track Middle of the Ocean, the Canadian superstar refers to Serena Williams’ “groupie”.
“Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie / He claim we don’t got a problem but / No, boo, it is like you comin’ for sushi,” he raps – and the highly successful Ohanian, co-founder of Reddit, responded on Twitter with a photo of himself and his daughter, supporting the tennis pro at one of her matches.
“The reason I stay winning is because I’m relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do — including being the best groupie for my wife & daughter,” he captioned the photo.

Megan Thee Stallion has also seemingly responded to one of the rapper’s tracks Circo Loco.
He raps, seemingly referring to the star’s 2020 altercation with Tory Lanez: “This bitch lie about getting shots, but she still a stallion/She don’t even get the joke but she still smiling.”
“I know I’m very popular, but y’all gotta stop attaching weak ass conspiracy theories in bars to my name, lol,” she wrote on Twitter.
In another tweet she said: “Since when tf is it cool to joke abt women getting shot!” before adding: “Ready to boycott bout shoes and clothes but dog pile on a black woman when she say one of y’all homeboys abused her. [sic]”
These are the most complete songs we’ve heard from Drake in a long time. Her Loss reminds me of If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late in the way that every track is thorough and highlights different strengths of Drake and Savage. On “Spin Bout U,” Drake is giving us a little bit of everything, with a smooth and melodic hook that flows naturally into a ridiculous rap pocket (not to mention he gets back into his rapping bag on “Middle of the Ocean” and spits hot flame for over four minutes). Even Serena Williams’ husband wasn’t safe from catching a stray. Wild.
— Complex
Drake and 21 Savage shared the cover art for their album last week. It features a woman – Qui Yasuka, aka Suki Baby, a nail stylist and professional adult dancer, according to Complex – showing off her grills and colourful eyelashes.
The publication reviews the album, saying the artists’ “chemistry shines through,” while adding the album is “the most complete songs we’ve heard from Drake in a long time”.
Variety says: “Views and Certified Lover Boy were self-pitying and surly, exercises in convincing the listener that no matter how sad their late-night texts were, Drake’s late-night texts were sadder. With Her Loss, though (in conjunction with this summer’s buoyant dance-pop discursion Honestly, Nevermind), the cloak of self-seriousness has receded; Drake has relocated his sense of fun.”
