A teacher was shot dead in the middle of a busy street with a shotgun by her ex-boyfriend, who then turned the gun on himself, according to reports.
The 32-year-old woman had only been dating the suspect for a couple of months before the horror shooting in Rhodes, Greece.
Just hours before she was killed, she had sent a message to a friend reading: “I’ve finally escaped this nightmare.
“I’m free from the torment. I’ve left him”.
The woman, named as Dora Z, was said to have been shot twice with a shotgun earlier this month by her ex-boyfriend, who has been identified only as KM in Greek media.

The police tracked the car to KM’s home, where they found him dead.
It was believed he had taken his own life using the same gun that he used to kill Dora.
Next to the suspect’s body, police found a note that read: “I can’t go on living without my love.”
According to local media, KM had spent hours stalking Dora.
He had waited patiently across the street from her house in a rented car with an unidentified accomplice in the passenger seat.
The investigation is ongoing and the authorities are now trying to track down the suspected accomplice who was seen sitting next to KM.
