More details about Meghan Markle’s ground-breaking first Spotify podcast series have been revealed.

On Thursday, Spotify revealed the title of the podcast: Archetypes.

According to a press release, the series, hosted by the Duchess of Sussex, will “investigate the labels that try to hold women back.”

With historians and industry experts as her special guests, Markle will “uncover the origin of these stereotypes and have uncensored conversations with women who know all too well how these typecasts shape narratives.”

Introducing Archetypes, a new podcast from Archewell Audio hosted by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex.

The title of the podcast series refers to the theme of the show. It is also a nod to Archewell, the nonprofit organisation founded by Markle and Prince Harry.

It is also a sweet nod to the couple’s 2-year-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

In an audio teaser released on Thursday, Markle addresses stereotypes that have long generalised women, particularly through the lens of popular culture and media.

“This is how we talk about women: the words that raise our girls, and how the media reflects women back to us . . . but where do these stereotypes come from? And how do they keep showing up and defining our lives?” the former actor said.
