Fantastic Beasts 3 gets global April release date | Channel

The title and release date for the third instalment in the Harry Potter spin-off film franchise has been announced.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will premiere globally on 15 April 2022.

Eddie Redmayne reprises his role as Newton “Newt” Scamander, Jude Law as Dumbledore, and Mads Mikkelsen as the villain Gellert Grindelwald in the upcoming film.

Mads replaces Johnny Depp, who exited the movie in November 2020, after losing a libel case against The Sun over claims that he abused his ex-wife Amber Heard. The Rum Diary actor filmed one scene for the movie, which he reportedly will still get paid for.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film picks up as Dumbledore, who knows Grindelwald wants to seize control of the wizarding world, enlists Newt Scamander to lead a team on a dangerous mission. They encounter old and new beasts and Grindelwald’s growing followers.
