Four Springboks have been named in the Rugby Championship team of the tournament selected by World Rugby.

Prop Steven Kitshoff and lock Lood de Jager are named in the forwards while centre Lukhanyo Am and wing Makazole Mapimpi are amongst the backs.

Interestingly, Australia had the biggest representation in the team with six players including veteran flyhalf Quade Cooper.

Cooper famously returned to international rugby after four years in the wilderness to kick the Wallabies to a 28-26 victory over the Springboks.

Australia did the double a week later, beating Siya Kolisi charges 30-17 in a convincing display in which they outscored their opponents 4 tries to 1.

New Zealand contribute five players to the World Rugby selection but only one of them in the backline in the form of fullback Jordie Barrett.
