Harry Kane has warned Euro 2020 goalkeepers that he is out to do a Patrik Schick.
The England captain was in awe as Schick scored from 48 yards against Scotland and the hapless David Marshall.
And as Kane prepares to take on Marshall and the Scots, he says the long-range surprise is something he fancies pulling off.
“Unbelievable,” said Kane. “To see the keeper off the line is one thing but then to be able to put it in the back of the net is another. It’s probably the goal of the tournament that will be a hard one to beat.
“Every now and then, I will look for that one. The keepers today like to play as sweepers waiting for that ball in between so if there is a ricochet or an opening, I like to try and look for that one.
“You never know we might get another one this tournament.”
Kane was substituted late in the victory over Croatia but will again be the first name on the team-sheet for the Scotland game.
But he insists he is not untouchable, telling ITV Sport: “You will have to ask Gareth but I never look at it that way. We have great competition for places. Dominic (Calvert-Lewin) has come in and done great.
“I am sure there will be rotation among all the players in this tournament and everyone is waiting for the chance to try and make an impact.
“I will train as hard as I can to play and that is the aim to try and lead the boys out and win the games.”
Kane is fighting fit despite his collision with a post on Sunday and he is expecting a mighty challenge when the Scots arrive at Wembley.
He said: “I thought Scotland played quite well on Monday. They had a few chances, the Czech keeper made some great saves and obviously they scored one from 50-yards with changed the game a little bit.
“Obviously we will be assessing that game and looking at the things we can exploit. But all in all we are ready for a tough game.”
Kane also revealed his wife had spoken to Christian Eriksen’s partner after the former Spurs midfielder suffered a heart attack during Denmark’s game with Finland.
Kane said: “I texted him but haven’t got a response yet obviously. He is going under some tests. My wife managed to speak to his wife and she said obviously they are doing ok, they are going through the checks.
“It was a scary time for him and his family as well.
“It was dreadful to watch. Like I said at the weekend, I am wishing him all the best and his family all the best and I am hoping he makes a speedy recovery.”
