Former Idols SA runner-up Mmatema Gavu and husband Tshepo shared a look inside their gender reveal party on the singer’s YouTube channel.

Mmatema and Tshepo, who are already parents to 2-year-old Ethan, shared a look into the party preparations, and ultimately the big surprise – that the couple is expecting the arrival of a baby girl. 

“That’s what they mean about God giving you your desires – it’s a girl,” said an ecstatic Mmatema in the video. 

Mmatema broke the news that she was expecting a second child to her 400 000 Instagram followers only a few weeks ago, saying that her sister had a bun in the oven as well. 

She said: “Having a sister is like having a best friend you can never get rid of, some even get pregnant with you at the same time. I am so happy that my baby already has a best friend for life.”
