The YouTube star is offering to pay Fury an additional $500,000 if he wins the fight, but should the Love Island star lose he would be obligated to change his surname to “Fumbles”
Jake Paul has made his offer for Tommy Fury to bet his last name on their potential fight official in a leaked contract.
Paul has teased Fury over his brother Tyson’s offer to change his surname if he is unable to beat the YouTube star, and has provided a solution that could help them get their fight over the line.
The pair are currently locked in a negotiation stalemate after the Love Island star turned down a seven-figure fight offer from Paul’s team.
And Paul has said that he is willing to bet $500,000 from his own purse that he could beat Fury, but if he loses, the Brit will have to legally change his name to ‘Tommy Fumbles’.
Paul has been mocking Fury for the past few weeks after claiming that he has “fumbled the biggest bag of his life”, which is a colloquialism for losing out on a record-high payday.
And in new documentation which Paul has released, he has included a contract stipulation that would see Fury change his name legally if he loses.
The contract, which is largely censored for legal reasons, shows Paul offering Fury the massive sum, as well as terms indicating that the 7-0 fighter would have to change his name within a month of the bout on official records.
It reads, in part: “If Fury is declared the winner of the Bout, Paul hereby agrees to pay Fury Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) directly from Paul’s purse as an additional fighter bonus.”
It continues to say that should Fury lose the match, he would have to legally change his name for a minimum of one year, as well as changing his social media names to reflect the change and appear with his new name at the post-fight press conference.
It remains to be seen if Fury will take this bet, which Paul is evidently taking seriously after his last opponent Tyron Woodley stalled on getting a tattoo of Paul’s name after their fight, as they had wagered before the fight.

Ultimately, Woodley did get a tattoo on his finger declaring that he “loves Jake Paul”, as was the deal, but fans have theorised that he may have faked some of his in.
Fury and Paul are in discussions to fight in December, with the YouTube star currently back at his Puerto Rican training base while the Love Islander is in Las Vegas to help his brother prepare for his world heavyweight title defence against Deontay Wilder.
Fury said yesterday in an interview with The MMA Hour that he feels there will be positive news coming next week over his fighting future.
Both men have indicated an interest in returning in December, whether against each other or not.
“I’ve been over here since Thursday about a week now so I’ve not had a chance to speak to my lawyers,” Fury said.
“But last time I did speak to them it was looking good and that’s all that I really have to say about it, I leave everything like that up to my lawyers and my team.
