Paddy Pimblett talks Jake Paul callout

Derek Brunson has responded to Jake Paul’s call-out offer with the YouTuber-turned-fighter appearing to spark another rivalry with a UFC star.

Paul defeated former UFC champion Tyron Woodley by split decision in Cleveland last month.

And he has been linked with a number of UFC stars during his time in the sport of boxing including Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.

Now the 24-year-old has sparked a furious reaction from UFC middleweight Brunson who has responded to Paul with a dig at his past at “Disney”.

“When Hannah Montana’s boyfriend meets Blonde Brunson,” Brunson posted on Twitter. “This isn’t Disney Jake Paul, I would cook you!”

Paul has got under the skin of several of the sport’s stars, and also has a long-running feud with UFC president Dana White.

And he has unveiled a four-fight shortlist for his next opponent which includes the likes of McGregor and British light-heavyweight Tommy Fury.

“We’re talking to four different parties, four different fighters, and seeing which one makes the most sense,” Paul said on the MMA Hour. “Honestly just from a personal standpoint, I would love for it to be Masvidal.

“Just because of the s*** talk, just because of his name, just because he’s still in his prime era and there’s a lot of personal beef there after I took out his boy Tyron [Woodley].

“Hopefully Dana [White] would let him out of his contract but we’re not sure if that can happen, but for me personally, I think that would be the toughest challenge, the toughest guy and the biggest name – the most relevant currently.

“I think that’s the one to make. I think it will happen at some point regardless, but that’s at the top of my list for sure.”

Mirror Fighting sources had previously indicated that fight talks were most advanced for a meeting with Fury next, despite promises of a rematch with Woodley.

However, it now appears unlikely after their latest social media spat involved a “final” offer from Paul to Fury worth $1 million.

And the offer was one that Fury rejected with confidence, citing discussions that weren’t “worth getting out of bed for”.

“I just wanted to come on her and address a few things that Jake Paul has been saying that I have denied two offers to fight him,” Fury told fans on Instagram.

Could Jake Paul face Derek Brunson in the future? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.

“That is true, as those offers weren’t even worth addressing, and now he has come out and said that he wants to give me a $1 million to fight him and i just want to say this.

“To everybody out there, $1 million for a fight of this magnitude is not even worth getting out of bed for, this fight is going to gross millions and millions of pounds.

“I cannot walk down the street without anybody asking me when are you fighting Jake Paul, so until you want to make a serious offer and put it on the table, we can’t think about fighting pal.”

Paul has also continued a feud with another fighter in Masvidal and has offered a two-fight deal to UFC president White to try and make the contest happen.
