Twelve years ago, celebrity couple Nicky van der Walt and Lee-Ann Liebenberg started dating, and marking the relationship milestone, Nicky wrote a special dedication to his wife on Instagram. 

“We started dating 12 years ago and I ended up marrying the woman of my dreams. Thank you for being the mother of my children, my soul mate, best friend and supporting me through everything [sic],” the businessman captioned a series of his wife’s famous magazine covers.

He went on to say: “I love you madly and I pinch myself everyday that I married you. To the next 50 years, I want to grow very old with you. My ride or die…Always.” 

The couple, who married in 2011, have three children together – two daughters and the youngest, a boy. 

In July, the couple found themselves at the centre of a cheating scandal that played out on social media. Lee-Ann has since apologised for the cheating allegations she made on social media and retracted previous claims that her husband was unfaithful.
