A video of Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has emerged showing how he dealt with the constant abuse he received from West Ham fans on Sunday afternoon.

United won the game 2-1 thanks to a late goal from Jesse Lingard in the 89th minute, though the Englishman refused to celebrate against the club that he spent the end of last season on loan at.

Said Benrahma opened the scoring for the Hammers in the 30th minute when the Algerians strike deflected off of Raphael Varane and into the back of the net.

That lead last five minutes though as Cristiano Ronaldo equalised from close-range for his third league goal in two games.

Following Lingard’s strike, West Ham were awarded a 95th-minute penalty, but Mark Noble, who came off of the bench especially for the spot-kick, saw his effort palmed away by De Gea.

Pogba played well on the left wing but was unable to directly contribute to the game, leading to several Hammers fans appearing to giving him criticism as he walked down the tunnel.

But rather than coolly walking past and ignoring it, the Frenchman opted to stare at those hurling the abuse his way and laugh, twice.

Eventually, Bruno Fernandes and coach Michael Carrick dragged the 28-year-old away from the incident and down the tunnel.

United fans have been loving the viral footage on social media, but it is unknown how much longer they will be watching the 2018 World Cup winner.

Pogba’s contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the season and he is yet to agree to an extension at the club or decide if he will even sign one.

Mathias Pogba, Pogba’s brother, revealed on Spanish TV show El Chiringuito TV last week that he does not know what his brother is thinking and that his brother is considering all of his options.

He said: “Paul has not decided yet whether to stay or not next summer,” he said.

“It’s his decision – he’s feeling very good at Man United now, this season… then let’s see. Let’s see when will be time to decide.”

But it isn’t just Pogba who is having to decide whether to commit to playing at the Theatre of Dreams for the next few years or whether to start looking for pastures new, match-winner Lingard is also weighing up his choices too.

The 28-year-old’s contract also explains in 2023 though there is more confidence that he will remain at his boyhood club having not requested to leave over the summer transfer window, surprising many who thought he would push for a move to make his loan move at West Ham permanent.

Lingard enjoyed a short but sweet spell with West Ham in the 2020/21 campaign, scoring nine and assisting four in 16 appearances and helping David Moyes’ side to Europa League football.

His performances in East London also caught the interest of Gareth Southgate, who included him in England’s 30-man squad for Euro 2020 before failing to make the final cut.

A glimpse of the international stage will prove to Lingard that he is more than capable of regularly featuring for the Three Lions when he features on a weekly basis, but whether that will be possible under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains to be seen.
