A whirlwind of nail-biting drama awaits fans of the kykNET soapie Suidooster in the coming weeks.
At the centre of the latest crisis to hit the fictional Cape Town suburb of Ruiterbosch will be AB Samsodien (Cedwyn Joel), who shocked viewers in 2020 when he, as a polygamist, married a second wife, Farah (Lee-Ann van Rooi).

Suidooster publicist Wilmer Müller says viewers can get the tissues ready as the beloved Samsodien family will face their biggest test yet.
“AB’s health is to deteriorate rapidly in the coming days, and a very real question will be if death will come knocking on his door?
“But his nearest and dearest won’t just sit back and hope for the best. His half-brother Nazeem (Irvine van der Merwe) will do whatever it takes to save his brother’s life – no matter who might be collateral damage along the way.”
A new cast member who will be a crucial player in this storyline is Marion Holm, a seasoned actor best known for her one-woman stage shows.
“I portray a hospital nurse who isn’t as innocent and friendly as she appears. In fact, ‘suster’ Graaff is ruthless and fearless,” says Marion.
Another new actor joining Suidooster is Marvin-Lee Beukes.
“My character Donovan is a charming and driven man who uses his ambition to hide his past. But then the past comes knocking on the door…” says Marvin-Lee.
“Donovan is a new estate agent at Bridgette’s (Denise Newman) property development business, but his presence will ruffle a few feathers too, while a romantic rendezvous is also on the cards.”
Marvin will make his first appearance in Suidooster on Thursday, 23 September, and Marion’s character will be on air from Friday 8 October.
