Since its release on Netflix last month, the Korean Drama Squid Game has risen to the top of streaming trends worldwide and could very soon dethrone Bridgerton as the streaming service’s most-watched show.
But the show’s popularity proves not to be good news to everyone.
According to CinemaBlend, the phone number, which appears on the Squid Game business card in the series, belongs to a man from the Gyeonggi Province – who has been receiving up to 4 000 calls a day from fans of the show.
The man, who is reported to be in his forties, is rightfully not impressed by the constant calls, that occur during all hours of the day and night.
According to the article, negotiations are currently taking place to find a way to resolve the issue, although a political candidate has made an offer to purchase the number for 100 million won.
