Jake Paul sends ‘final message’ to Tommy Fury
Tommy Fury claims he won’t need a game plan if he gets the chance to take on Jake Paul.
The pair have been linked with a high-profile meeting since Paul recorded a split decision victory over Tyron Woodley.
With negotiations ongoing, Fury rejected a $1 million offer from the American for the fight to take place this year.
But Fury is supremely confident if the pair can meet, and will go to “annihilate” his opponent with no gameplan.
“I don’t buy into anything Jake says because when we get into that ring we’ll let our fists do the talking, I know it cliched,” Fury told the MMA Hour. “There’ll be no game plan for that fight, I’ll go straight over to him and I will annihilate Jake Paul.
“He’s tailor-made for me, he doesn’t move his head, he’s useless anyway. I’d let Jake Paul hit me for fun, he’s no good, so I’m sick of people comparing us for this fight – there is no fight. I’ll go in there and it’s a shut-put victory for me and that’s it.
Paul has since encouraged Fury to take the offer, as he continues his search for an opponent later this year.
And his potential opponent has now made his American debut defeating Anthony Taylor which expanded his profile across the Atlantic.
The pair clashed in the corridor in the aftermath of their respective victories, and negotiations have taken place ever since.
Paul is looking to add a “boxer” to his record, having won fights against former UFC stars Ben Askren and Woodley.

And the 24-year-old has also explained the audience interest in clashing with a British star with the interest of Fury.
“I think Tommy Fury is at the top of that list. He’s skilled, he’s undefeated, and he’s a real boxer,” Paul told the ‘Full Send’ podcast.“He has like 4 million followers on Instagram which is good engagement.
“He has the fans from his relationship show [ Love Island ]. It all starts with the numbers, like would the fight sell a lot? Would people actually care? I could go and fight the infamous jiujitsu guy who doesn’t shut the f*** up on social media, but it’s a hard sell.
“This guy just beat a UFC hall of fame legendary striker, we’re not going to put him up against a jiujitsu guy in a boxing match.
“So after each fight, we go back to the drawing board and we’re like ‘who makes the most sense’ — can they actually sell pay-per-views? Can we sell this fight as like ‘this is a tough fight for Jake.'”
Paul’s rivalry with Fury has continued to heat up this week, and he has trolled the young Fury for taking a “standard” flight.
His foe has quickly responded, handing fans a positive update on the talks between the pair despite the rejected offer.
Mirror Fighting also discovered that Paul has found a back-up option if his deal with Fury falls through in the next few weeks.
