This weekend the Tories gather in Manchester for their party conference.
Inside the security zone they will be congratulating themselves on their election victory.
Outside the security zone the rest of us will be living with the consequences of this Government’s incompetence.
As they fill up with champagne at swish receptions millions of others will be struggling to fill up their tanks or feed their families.
The country is reeling from an energy crisis, a fuel crisis and a cost of living crisis. The blame for all three lies with this Government.
Stores have run short of supplies, pubs have run out of beer and pumps have run out of fuel.

Shoppers are now being warned a shortage of drivers and warehouse workers will lead to higher prices and less choice at Christmas.
At the same time households are being clobbered by rising taxes and hikes in energy bills. Instead of getting on top of these multiple crises the Tories seem paralysed by them.
There has been no top-level summit led by the PM and no explanation to the country how they intend to guide us out of this mess.

NHS not for all
More and more people are paying for private healthcare because of the growing NHS waiting list.
Some are having to use their life savings to cover treatment costs. But for millions of households going private just isn’t an option.
It is no accident average waiting times have grown by 50% in the poorest parts of England.

The founding principle of the NHS was it was there for everyone regardless of income.
That principle is being undermined by this Government’s failure to provide the funding the health service needs.
