Two French-based Springboks have been named in the Barbarians squad for their encounter against an All Blacks XV on Sunday (13 November).
The match will take place at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – the home ground of the renowned Premier League football club.
Springbok winger Raymond Rhule and utility back Dillyn Leyds have cracked the nod for the invitation team’s squad, with Ronan O’Gara and Scott Robertson acting as co-coaches.
Rhule and Leyds, who both ply their trade at French club La Rochelle, have fallen out of favour with the Springbok selectors in recent years.
Rhule played all seven of his Tests in 2017, while Leyds played the last of his 10 Tests in 2019.
Apart from facing the All Blacks XV, the Barbarians will also play matches against English club sides Harlequins (Thursday, 17 November), Bath (Sunday, 20 November) and Northampton Saints (Saturday, 26 November).
The All Blacks XV thumped Ireland A 47-19 in their first tour match last weekend.
