Video footage of Chris Cornell singing with his daughter Toni has been shared on social media to celebrate the teen’s 17th birthday.

On Chris’ Instagram page, a compilation of never-before-seen home videos shows the late star playing guitar while singing You Are My Sunshine to his little girl, another clip shows the pair singing Rihanna and Eminem’s Love the Way You Lie together, while a third sees them tackle Redemption Song while on stage together.

The video end with the words: “Happy Birthday Toni.”

Sharing another video on her own page, Toni’s mother and Chris Cornell’s wife Vicky wrote in part: “Happy Birthday to our beautiful girl. Daddy and I love you so much! We’re so proud of the young woman you are becoming.”

“I’m in awe of your strength, resilience, compassion and dedication. You have the biggest heart – we love you so much my baby Toni,” she continued. 

Chris Cornell, who fronted Soundgarden and Audioslave, died in 2017. His death was ruled a suicide.
