The fast food chain hasn’t confirmed opening dates for either restaurants but says they’ll be opened this year.
Wendy’s is planning on opening up to 400 outlets in the UK, creating at least 12,000 jobs in the process – although this would take several years to achieve.
This impressive figure would also still put it far behind McDonald’s, which has just under 1,300 restaurants in the UK.
Wendy’s says it will be creating hundreds of jobs through its new openings, including more than 75 managerial positions.

The American diner giant has also launched a weekly bonus scheme to entice new employees.
Known for its square burgers, Wendy’s is iconic in the US but hasn’t been in the UK since 1999.
Wendy’s has 6,700 outlets in 30 countries around the world.
Steven Derwoed, VP Global Design and Construction, Wendy’s, said: “With the opening of this restaurant, we’re bringing the absolute best of Wendy’s to Oxford.
“Whether it’s our attention to detail in the meticulous refurbishment of the classic storefront, the great music, or the cheeky art, we’ve created an environment that both customers and crew are going to love hanging out in.”
In more fast food news, US chicken restaurant Popeyes will open its first UK store in London this November.
The store will open at the Westfield shopping centre in Stratford.
The branch will be 1,531 sq ft, and was formerly a KFC restaurant.
The company – which first opened in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1972 – said it sees Britain as the “next big opportunity”.
