For those who want a whole new wardrobe, the massive 48-hour sale is set to include summer essentials like swimwear, shoes, beach bags, skirts and dresses.

We don’t know for certain exactly what brands will be included in the price cuts, but last year Amazon had a plethora of stylish and sporty brands including Levi’s, Calvin Klein, Helly Hansen, Puma and Under Armour featured in its flash deals.

How to find the best deals when Prime Day starts?

After shopping the event ourselves for years, we thought we’d share some tips to make sure you find the best bargains.

Starting with delaying any unnecessary purchases – it’s worth holding off until next Monday for buying any nonessential items. The chances are what you’ve been watching or keeping an eye on, will be included in the sale. So if you need a paddling pool or sound system to entertain you through the heatwave, you should hold out if you can.

It’s also a good idea to create a Wishlist – so you can start to bookmark items now. This way you know where everything you want is – and kept safe. It also saves you scrolling through the website and missing out on items that might sell faster than expected.

Amazon often have ‘Lightning Deals’ or ‘Deals of the Day’, which are only available for a limited time only. You can find these along the top of Amazon’s website. In previous years, Shark vacuum cleaners have been spotted here.

If you have access to the Amazon app, you can sign up for mobile notifications to let you know when your next deal is about to start. Not only that but any upcoming deals for Prime Day too – not forgetting deals that you want to ‘watch’ as well.

On Sunday 20th June, if you open the app and press the menu button (which should appear as three short horizontal lines), then select “Today’s Deals,” then in the “Availability” menu, which will drop-down, choose “Upcoming.” When you scroll down, you’ll be able to see all the deals dropping over the next 24 hours. If you see a deal you want to get when it goes live, press “Watch this deal”. That will make sure you get a notification when it’s live – how handy.
