Earlier this month, a $500million LA estate dubbed ‘The One’ went into receivership after its owner defaulted on more than $165million in debt.

Touted as America’s most expensive home, the 105,000-square-foot Bel Air property was the brain child Nile Niami, a film producer turned ‘giga mansion’ tycoon.

Said to be twice as big as the White House, Niami began construction back in 2012, hoping to flip it for a profit – but it will now be sold at a lower price.

While even Jeff Bezos might baulk at the original asking price, some ridiculous properties around the world can boast an even higher asking price.
